AI consulting that actually ships.
You've spent $200K-$400K on consulting and you have a roadmap, a framework, and zero campaigns running. We're the AI consultants who build what we recommend. Strategy, implementation, production — one team, one SOW. 21 years of enterprise experience. AI-native execution. Your AI roadmap becomes working software in weeks, not quarters.

What makes this different
We Build What We Recommend
Most AI consultants hand you a roadmap and recommend someone else for implementation. We do both. One team, one accountability, one SOW. No “AI strategy phase” followed by a failed implementation search. The people who scoped your project are the people writing the code.
Production in Weeks, Not Quarters
Slalom's AI engagement average: 6-9 months before anything ships. Ours: 4-8 weeks. Because we have working software on day one — Squirrel, the Igility production platform — as our own case study. You're hiring an agency that's already built what you're being sold.
You Can Leave Us Tomorrow. You Just Won't Want To.
Most AI consulting firms lock you in with proprietary methodology, custom platforms, and data you can't export. Ours runs on open source. Your stack, your data, your infrastructure — we hand over the keys at every milestone. No “proprietary framework” you can't evaluate. When the engagement ends, your team keeps running what we built.
Deliverables
- AI Readiness Assessment (2-3 week audit: data maturity, use case prioritization, ROI projection, infrastructure gaps)
- AI Strategy & Roadmap (executive roadmap, milestone-based budget, build-vs-buy decisions)
- Use Case Design & Prioritization (MoSCoW-scored, ROI-modeled, risk-assessed)
- Custom Model Integration (OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, open-source Llama/Mistral deployments; fine-tuning where ROI justifies)
- RAG & Agent Architecture (LangChain, LangGraph, vector DBs, MCP servers, knowledge base design)
- Data Pipeline Engineering (data readiness: clean → labeled → trained → deployed)
- Enterprise Compliance Architecture (HIPAA, SOC 2, PCI, FedRAMP-adjacent)
- Production Deployment (your infrastructure or modern one we stand up)
- Team Training & Enablement (your team maintains what we build; no vendor lock-in)
- Advisory Retainer (fractional AI CTO, quarterly reviews, on-demand strategy)
- Vendor Selection Support (OpenAI vs. Anthropic vs. open-source — honest, not sponsored)
Investment
AI Readiness Assessment
2-3 week audit, fixed scope, deliverable: roadmap + ROI model
$15,000 - $25,000
Strategic Engagement
Strategy + pilot implementation, 6-12 weeks
$40,000 - $120,000
Full Implementation
Production-grade systems, 12-24 weeks
$120,000 - $500,000+
Advisory Retainer
Fractional AI CTO, monthly

The AI Readiness Assessment is a fixed-scope, 2-3 week engagement. Most clients then proceed to a Strategic Engagement with the roadmap we deliver. Full Implementation pricing depends on scope — we quote against your specific use cases.
Frequently asked questions
How is an AI consulting firm different from an AI development agency?
Consulting firms (Slalom, Deloitte, Accenture) specialize in strategy and roadmaps — the slide deck and PDF. Development agencies specialize in implementation — the code. Almost nobody does both under one SOW. We do. Your strategist and your lead engineer are the same person, or work on the same team. No handoffs, no "that's not what we scoped."
What's an AI Readiness Assessment and what do I actually get?
A 2-3 week audit, fixed scope ($15K-$25K), that produces: (1) data maturity assessment — is your data actually usable for AI? (2) use case prioritization — of the 10 ideas you have, which 3 are highest ROI and which are traps? (3) infrastructure gap analysis — what needs to exist before any AI work can ship? (4) 12-month roadmap with milestones and budget ranges. It's the document you'd pay McKinsey $250K for. We do it better in 2 weeks.
Do you do consulting only or implementation only?
Either, but our best work is both. If you only want strategy, we'll do it but we'll also name the implementation partners we trust (or don't trust). If you only want implementation, we'll do it but we'll question the strategy if it's wrong. Most clients engage for both because the handoff is where most AI projects die.
Can you work with our existing AI platform (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google)?
Yes, all of them. We're model-agnostic. We'll tell you the truth about which model is best for your use case, not which vendor is paying us. Most engagements use a mix — OpenAI for speed, Claude for reasoning, open-source (Llama, Mistral) for cost-sensitive or data-sensitive work. We also deploy our own fine-tuned models when ROI justifies.
How do you handle data privacy and compliance?
HIPAA, SOC 2, GDPR, CCPA — our default stance is to keep your data on your infrastructure. Open-source models can be deployed self-hosted so your data never leaves your walls. For cloud models (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google), we use enterprise contracts with zero-retention, no-training commitments. We design around your compliance requirements from day one, not as an afterthought.
What's the typical ROI on an AI consulting engagement?
Our own benchmark: a $15K readiness assessment prevents 3-5 bad investments that would have cost $100K-$500K each. A $60K strategy + pilot engagement typically produces a 6-12 month payback on the implementation it scopes. Full implementations depend on use case — we model ROI explicitly in the roadmap before you commit to implementation.
Do you work with startups or only enterprise?
Both. Startup engagements skew toward implementation (you need the thing built, not a PowerPoint). Enterprise engagements skew toward strategy + implementation with compliance complexity. Minimum engagement is the AI Readiness Assessment at $15K — below that, we'd point you to an OSS tutorial and wish you luck.
Can you train our team to maintain what you build?
Yes — this is part of every engagement. We build transparent systems with documentation, runbooks, and training sessions. The goal is for your team to own the system when we hand off. No vendor lock-in, no dependency on Igility staying forever. If you want us to stay (advisory retainer), great; if you want to graduate, we make that easy.
Ready to turn your AI roadmap into working software?
Start with a 2-week readiness assessment. We'll show you what's possible with your actual data, your actual use cases, and your actual constraints — not a generic deck.
